Brenda Lau

Brenda Lau is a singer-songwriter from Panama City, Panama, and the winner of Batallas de Las Estrellas 2010, the Panamanian version of American Idol. She performed the National Anthem for the Boston Bruins during the 2018-2019 season, following Rene Rancourt's retirement.

A Berklee College of Music graduate (2020, Songwriting concentration), Brenda writes soundtracks for Panamanian films and creates music programs for voice, songwriting, and piano. She's passionate about community outreach, especially in underserved neighborhoods with large Hispanic and Latino populations.

Her teaching philosophy centers on helping students find their inner voice and grow as artists. She specializes in vocal pedagogy and resonance training. Brenda believes music transforms lives, whether through her own songs for social change, live performances, or the students she teaches.
