About Pakachoag

Our Mission

Pakachoag Music School is dedicated to nurturing musical journeys that cultivate the imagination, inspire creativity, and develop artistry for persons of every age and cultural background.

What We Do

We teach music the way it's meant to be learned: through encouraging, expert teachers, one-on-one attention, and genuine community. Located centrally in Worcester, with several satellite locations and Music Together classes for young families, we make it easy to find music close to home.

Currently, 275+ students study with us each week, and they come from more than 40 communities across the region.

Community Focus

We partner with organizations across Worcester: Boys & Girls Club, Worcester Youth Orchestras, Worcester Children's Chorus, and programs like the African Community Education Program and Black Excellence Academy. Because music isn't just for some kids. It's for all kids.

Who We Serve

Whether you're starting your child's musical journey or refining your own craft, we meet you where you are. Folks choose us because we offer:

  • Private lessons tailored to your goals and learning style

  • Music Together classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers

  • Financial support so cost never blocks access to music

Access For All

Pakachoag Music School welcomes all students regardless of background or circumstance. We don't discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, or any other status.

Join Our Team

We're grateful for everyone who's interested in making music part of Pakachoag's mission. If you've wondered what it's like to teach here, support our students, or help run a music school that's genuinely rooted in its community, you’ve found your people.

If you're interested in working with us down the road, we'd love to hear from you. Drop us a line at admin@pakmusic.org, tell us what drew you here, and what kind of work excites you. We keep those messages close, and we'll reach out when something fits.

In the meantime, explore what we do. Visit a lesson. Attend a performance. Get a sense of the people and the place. That's often the best way to know if Pakachoag feels like home.

Faculty Positions

We have immediate openings for piano, guitar, violin, and percussion. But even if you teach another instrument, we’re happy to review your materials at any time.

Administrative Positions

Right now, we don't have open positions. But we know great people come around at unexpected moments, and we'd rather stay connected than miss you.
